New IT Director Appointed

09/07/2008

Commercial property consultants, Aitchison Raffety have appointed Tony Lamb as Director of IT in a move designed to take the company forward in this increasingly important arena.  He will be based in the company’s Oxford office.

“The appointment of a dedicated IT director reflects Aitchison Raffety’s aim to make best use of new technologies and, vitally, frees up fee earning staff who previously had responsibility for IT” says director Philip Waite.

In addition to managing existing outsourced contracts Tony Lamb will be responsible for developing the group’s current IT infrastructure and enhancing Aitchison Raffety’s web presence by the introduction of ‘micro’ websites for its speciality divisions.  The first of these, covering healthcare, will be launched next month (July).

Prior to joining Aitchison Raffety, Tony was the technical manager for a computer hardware reseller responsible for infrastructure and development and has acted as the principal Microsoft consultant for Hawke Systems in Slough. Previous roles included Group IT director for a major HP/Sun Microsystems reseller and Operations Manager at Derby College/University.

The Aitchison Raffety Group has 12 offices from London to Birmingham and provides a full range of property services, including the acquisition and disposal of commercial property, valuation for all purposes, rating appeals, rent review and lease renewal negotiations, development and investment advice, surveying and design services, town planning, property management and corporate real estate services.
